Welcome General Information The community maintains three community beaches and a residential-use Boat Ramp, and there are over 20 community-access points to the water. There is also a Community Hall located on Long Point Road that is available for rental to both residents and non-residents. The Long Point Improvement Association (LPIA) hosts many events throughout the year such as visits from Santa, Halloween parties, beach parties, wine & cheese tasting get-togethers, beach clean-up days, and community yard sales. Events are posted on the sign outside the Hall as well as in the community newsletter, The Long Pointer. There are also a variety of neighborhood clubs that reflect current interests of our residents. Long-standing clubs include the Dinner Club, Garden Club, and Horseshoe Club, and there is a call now to see if there is any interest in starting a Paddlers Club for canoeists, paddleboarders, and kayakers. Check the current Newsletter for more information. The community's General Meeting is open to the whole community and is held in the Hall on the 2nd Tuesday of September. Meeting notes from Board meetings (held at other times throughout the year) and LPIA By-laws can be found on the Administration page. The community Newsletter is The Long Pointer, and it is published 4 times a year: March, June, September, and December. Only the December issue is mailed to community residences and property owners, so all Long Point residents are strongly encouraged to visit this website to read the current issue. Current and past issues can be found here. Residents are encouraged to get on our E-mail List. Doing so allows us to e-mail The Long Pointer to you quarterly and to send you any important notices about events in the community.
